Debt Awareness Week 2021

Almost a year to the date of the UK’s first COVID 19 lockdown arrives Debt Awareness Week, from 22nd to 28th March.

The last 12 months have been increasingly difficult for people across the UK, with many experiencing a reduction in income, or a loss of job, you may have found yourself in a debt spiral with what seems like no way to get out.

Being aware of your debt is the first step to getting help and breaking the debt cycle. Debt Awareness Week is the perfect time to seek debt advice and improve your relationship with money and debt.

For many, debt and money worries can be the cause of sleepless nights, anxiety, and increased stress levels; seeking debt advice this Debt Awareness Week could really lighten the burden and be the turning point of your situation.

Breaking the debt cycle

Research by the Financial Conduct Authority found that around 6.8 million people were in need of debt help, but avoided taking it due to the embarrassing feeling, and even stigma attached to the word debt. When seeking debt advice, it’s important to remember that your debt advisor is there to help; they’ll assess your situation and aim to offer a way out.
